When I was overweight whilst donating blood, my veins were incredibly difficult to find. On top of that, the volunteer penetrating my arm failed to apply a tourniquet, and proceeded to roll the needle in a circular motion to actually hit the vein. I nearly jerked away and walked out in the process, but I wanted to donate to stay out of my engineering class.
