ive never watched/played/etc anything about spiderman

the only thing ive "consumed" w/ spidey is endgame and even thats a stretch

Controversial opinion: Spider-Man 3 had the makings of a really good movie that could’ve done wonders for the character of Peter Parker by showing off his darker suppressed emotions but it was handled clumsily and was overstuffed with extra villains.

If the movie had just been about Peters relationship with the symbiote and how it was changing him over time, corrupting the symbol of hope, it could’ve been on par or better than Spider-Man 2.

Raimi does a wonderful job of combining campy humor and action.

Spider-Man 4 intended to have Bruce Campbell as Mysterio.
It was kind of a buildup, especially with the lines in 2.

That's what I really like about the original trilogy
The fights were always so visceral and well shot
Like Doc Ock is straight up trying to kill Peter and you could actually see it unlike other action movies

i liked Into The Spiderverse but I'm not really interested in the upcoming sequel. fat Punished Peter was my favorite part of the first one, and Miles Morales just doesn't interest me at all. I'm not really interested in superheroes, but I still have some appreciation for some superhero media, like Batman TAS and the Raimi Spider-Man films.
