I read half of a Kurt Vonnegut novel today.
I'll be going to bed shortly.Time dilation be damned.
Gonna take a shower in a bit then cry myself to sleep... you know, the usual

But Slaughterhouse Five is sort of a semibiographical account of the life of a guy called Billy Pilgrim, who becomes unstuck in time during his time as a german POW in WWII. From there it covers various parts of his life from being an eye doctor to being abducted by aliens. The other book I read was Breakfast of Champions, which is about an abscure Science Fiction author called Kilgore Trout travelling to an arts convention to give a speech. He meets a bunch of people along the way and Vonnegut tells us all about a lot of the characters he meets no matter how insignificant they are to the story. I think his point was that none of us are protagonists in anyone else's story and so we're all going to die at some point. I recall the book being very rambley.I'd imagine his books could be hard to get into for someone with a decent attention span, but for someone like me with a very short attention span, they're just perfect.

Why do you feel the need to share this with us? I feel you've changed over the course of the coming years, beyond the rider of the storms. The squid never seems resurface, when will another dawn arise?
