I'm entertained by his writing. I guess he's got a sort of cynical sense of humour, is what I'd call it.

I've only read a couple of books by him besides the ones I'm reading know, and it's been a couple of years since then.
They're kind of hard to describe as he's sort of whimsical as well. But Slaughterhouse Five is sort of a semibiographical account of the life of a guy called Billy Pilgrim, who becomes unstuck in time during his time as a german POW in WWII. From there it covers various parts of his life from being an eye doctor to being abducted by aliens.

The other book I read was Breakfast of Champions, which is about an abscure Science Fiction author called Kilgore Trout travelling to an arts convention to give a speech. He meets a bunch of people along the way and Vonnegut tells us all about a lot of the characters he meets no matter how insignificant they are to the story. I think his point was that none of us are protagonists in anyone else's story and so we're all going to die at some point. I recall the book being very rambley.

I'd imagine his books could be hard to get into for someone with a decent attention span, but for someone like me with a very short attention span, they're just perfect.

We fear violence less than our own feelings. Personal, private, solitary pain is more terrifying than what anyone else can inflict.
Why do you feel the need to share this with us? I feel you've changed over the course of the coming years, beyond the rider of the storms.

The squid never seems resurface, when will another dawn arise?

Uhm, well, I completed the Squid Cycle. You want me to come up with some new little stories?

And I'm trying not to shitpost... so I've made this thread where we discuss what we're doing and I've shared what I'm doing.

Elegiac I fucked a fox the other day
How was it?

It was great

I was going to kill it but it was laying down and its fur was so pretty that I pounced on it and held it down

Stuff happened

I pried its maw open and started sucking on its tongue

It was all warm and soft

Then I got on top of it, kept its mouth open with my hands and fucked its throat
