All this applies to V as well, except V actually has a unique sound instead of leeching off all the other letters. You could take X from the alphabet and nothing of value would be lost. Just replace it with the letter it's copycatting.

V also has the benefit of not being used in every video game or movie title that's trying too hard to sound cool, edgy, or extreme.

V isn't nearly as symmetrical and that base, while strong, is extraordinarily unstable.

X may not be as useful our needed, but does that stop love?

Can you shun something based on so little a problem?

Leeching is a harsh word, whose to say X wasn't here first and that he's being pushed out from jealousy?

Truly a magnificent letter, a Greek God whose not just set in stone.

Cut X in half lengthwise and it's perfectly symmetrical.
