Is fuel injection really that much more fuel efficient?

dracula can eat my whole ass!
I mean, the 5.7 TPI was no marathon runner but it still lasted me 3 or 4 days on a full tank.

But this carbeurator is killing me at 50 bucks a day, man. It's actually fucked.

Is my fuel gauge just malfunctioning or is carbeuration just that bad?

This is not the greatest sig in the world, no. This is just a tribute.
There's a lot of things that go in to the fuel efficiency of a vehicle,  and while EFI can be a more precise fuel delivery and deliver better results in similar motors, things like gear ratios seem to be have a bigger effect, especially for highway miliage.

yeah i was thinking about that on the way home. The vette is a 5 speed iirc, whereas my trans am is only a 3 speed.  3000 rpms the entire ride home at 120km/h really drinks gas.

luckily i dont need to drive too much on the highway anymore so i can rest easy. my city mileage is pretty good, and i do have my crappy 04 sunfire beater for long distance journeys.

My Corolla has a Carby and it isn't too thirsty. I can normally get about 600-700 k's off Highway driving from a little baby 40L tank.

Engine might be doing a fair bit more work too.

Ooh, yup, three speed will do it. My impala was okayish on gas till I got on the highway doing 75/80. That just sucked fuel.

The only reason I'd do that is to throw in a 4A-GE. The 4A-LC is perfect though.

Seriously Toyotas have a rep for being unfun as shit to drive, especially back then but you'd love my Car if you drove it. Shit loves to rev.

Oh burger units uhh

375-435 miles off an 11 gallon tank? 11 sounds ridiculously small so maybe there's a different conversion, but 40mpg sounds semi-realistic so idk.

Because nobody ever uses kilometers as a legitimate form of measurement

Smart people use nautical miles.
