We always say to fight fire, you must use fire. This is wrong. Fighting fire with fire will leave scars and a new flame will rise. We must instead use water. It is the opposite of fire, it extinguishes the fire, it cools, it refreshes, it heals. We are made up of 70% water, we are not made up of 70% fire. Please practice what we truly are
How? Only evil would program us to think otherwise.

So.. that means you are apart of the evil programming then?

No, we don't.

Can't say that with 100% confidence in mind either. A perfect simulation is, after all, a perfect simulation.

We don't live in one, though.

Send me to hell for all eternity if I'm wrong.

Fair enough point. I certainly don't think we do. Just conversation material is all.

Well, see, that wouldn't make any sense then. Because technically Verb wouldn't be dead. Which would mean in the real world he'd have a really god damn long lifespan.

No. I meant what if Hell is programmed to exist? That this computer simulated world is so powerful, it can simulate religious lands of Heaven and Hell?

My point still stands.

Heaven and hell are supposedly death based things. Which would mean, that after somebody "died" in-simulation, and ended up in either one, their lifespan would technically be beyond the average lifespan of a human then, now wouldn't it?

They wouldn't be dead. They'd still be intact, just shifted from one running program to another. Assuming that you're plugged into a computer in the real world, that means your entire body is still intact and that therefore your age-wise lifespan is longer than a normal human's.

This is the problem with trying to understand the world.

If you spent your life looking at the shadows of puppets on a cave wall, wouldn't you think that those shadows were the world?

And if one day you turned around and saw the puppets, wouldn't you think that they were the world?

How would you eventually keep trying to find your way out of the cave and into the world, if you had no idea there was an outside of the cave?

We really never can be certain of it.

Is this the real life?
Or is this just fantasy?
It's like were caught in a landslide,
With no escape from "reality".

The Rage....
Well, I honestly believe that the universe we're in is actually a hologram now that I've read a little more into that theory. Pretty fucking weird thinking about it, yet it kinda makes sense.

"Ornate chandeliers suspended from a vaulted ceiling lit the spacious chamber; Jack tilted his gaze overhead and noticed how far away they were.  His thoughts wove around those bright lights, like a dance of ether masses spiraling in precious unison. Why must we try to clutch desperately for the mere threads of this world when we can clasp onto a tapestry of untold magnificence beyond this plane of existence?"
What if we were the simulation

like, we don't exist

And what if the being responsible for the simulation was a simulation too

Literally everything is an illusion until it gets to a certain point

At a certain point there's maybe just an infinite plane of self awareness

And that self awareness exists and feeds off of the thoughts and self awareness of the simulation subjects

Maybe we're writing the very simulation with our thoughts
