Goodness gracious, great balls of lightning!
It was a 5/10 at best and all it did was get me hyped for the next Godzilla movie. The last fight was pretty cool, John C Reilly's character was great, and the cinematography I thought was fantastic. The rest of it was pretty meh.

I know I'm a week late on watching this but I finally had the time to do it.

Peter Jackson's film and the original 1933 Kong film are still the vastly superior Kong films.

Don't go in expecting anything other than popcorn entertainment, which this movie was good at doing for the most part.

Spoiler
In the post credits scene, there's cave paintings of Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah and the names of the monsters were in the credits as well. The scene ends with Godzilla's roar.

There's nothing wrong with that in a giant monster movie, but it was boring in this one except for that last fight which was pretty decent.

Right now I'm hyped for the next Godzilla movie, but I'm worried about how they're going to treat King Ghidorah and Mothra.

I think they did a really good job at getting the 70s aesthetic down, I just think Sam's character was too one dimensional and the plot was pretty weak.

I'm interested in what they have in store for those two, it would be the first American iterations for both right?

Yeah it will be the first time those monsters will be portrayed from an American film company. There's Rodan too but I never really cared about him. It's Mothra and King Ghidorah who are more interesting IMO and Legendary needs to get their concepts right or I'll be pissed.

So... I guess I'm going to have to pick up after your horrendous mistakes on here too?
I saw it. Thought it was good for the most part.

We didn't see the End credits scene because my Brother thought that there wasn't one (There's always a scene after the credits in 95% of movies.) Hopefully expectations are reasonably good for the next.
