Why? For money
I don't think changing your sound is selling out, but okay.
resenting a band for "selling out" is honestly one of the most asinine things ever, but whateveri mean, i don't even wanna say, because to use the term "sell out" is to imply something negative about the act of selling out, when it's kind of neutral in my opinion
Xilent had a really unique 'ultrafunk' sound but he then went on to dubstep. died.

However, selling out generally means your sound is changed. Have to live up to that mainstream stigma afterall.Should I have said, "bands/artists you like that went totally mainstream?"
Changing your style is risky.
