Yeah, that Death Note ending is a huge disappointment. Maybe it went down differently in the source material, but as soon as those kids come in I can't watch another minute.

I'm surprised by your reaction to FMA:B. It's probably the most similar to American cartoons as your list gets; on its face it almost resembles an American animation with nods to shonen tropes, like in Teen Titans. Its dub is excellent, the animation is great and the story is legitimately original and well-realized. As for the first series, the quality of everything is almost the same, but the story takes a bit of a nosedive when it succeeds the source material. Treat it like filler episodes.

Well, I never really claimed to be a fan of American cartoons either (though recently, it just dawned on me that, when it comes to making quality animated films, Disney is unironically the greatest of all time).

I kinda like Teen Titans, but I was never in love with it. It's a show that has really good episodes and really meh episodes—hard to rate as a whole, especially when I haven't ever seen them in sequential order except for the Terra arc.

When it comes to FMA, though, you're right about it being original. Can't take that away from it.

OPM is really just a gag show meant for people who like anime powerlevel BS and can take a joke in stride. While the characters in general do become more than just their role gags, that doesn't happen until way after S1 of the anime.

Also the best part is Murata's art, and you can't see that in the show outside character designs

His suit is plain, but it works because warm colors convey strength more than cool colors, like Superman's blue suit. It's probably the only thing in OPM that goes for substance over style, design-wise.
