Yesterday afternoon, Twitch held a live town hall with the goal of illuminating recent policy changes and features around DMCAs, sexual harassment, ads, and other hot-button issues. In the aftermath, however, many streamers fixated on one small portion of the two-hour presentation: Twitch’s decision to ban words like “simp,” “incel,” and “virgin”—at least, when they’re used in derogatory contexts.Toward the end of the town hall, Twitch COO Sara Clemens elaborated on new Twitch rules set to go into effect next month. Clemens explained that one of the new rules outlaws “derogatory statements about another person’s perceived sexual practices,” which includes “negatively targeting another person with sexually focused terms.”“Using terms like ‘simp,’ ‘incel,’ or ‘virgin’ as an insult to negatively refer to another person’s sexual activity is not allowed under this new policy,” said Clemens. “In addition to the policy change, we’re also proactively denying emotes that include the term ‘simp.’ We remove them when reported and will keep doing that once the policy changes.”
I swear to god onlyfans and chaturbate girls will flock to twitch once they find out how little they have to work to get moneyAlso twitch already banned words like "blind" and other ablest words so the platform is killing itselfNow would be the perfect time for mixer to strike if they didn't shit the bed

How did we go from MW2 lobby chat to banning words like "virgin"
Pretty sure they've clarified that this only applies when they're used to harass someone and not in general, but it's still an odd decision.

Read your snippet there. Although I'm certainly not trans, I've got thoughts if you're up for discussion.I don't think stuff being easier should be a valid point regarding the issues of transitioning. Our society is fucking stupid and our culture is degenerating into neuroticism. On your standpoint it'd be easy to be a woman because if the shifts I've seen in the last decades are as real as I think they are, women's rights groups have stagnated into petty shit while larger issues go ignored. There appears to be an attack on masculinity on some fronts, and guys in general are either stupid or highly unaware about themselves, or the game that society lures them into.In short, outta all the people I studied out on my travels, a lot, but not all women have a tendency not to take responsibility. They dump all their shit on the guy in exchange for sexual relations. And most guys don't take responsibility either, but they play along because they're expected to, and a lot of their views are centered around sexual interaction rather than anything truly binding or dare I say wholesome. There's huge shifts going on in society now and a lot of what's happening are the worst scenarios rather than better.

I didn't transition because it's easier to be a girl than a guy, but I'm just saying it is easier, and why not just acknowledge that and sip up the perks lol? I was doing just fine as a guy in terms of social standing, but yeah I felt disgusting and weird and gross literally 100% of the time. Now I actually like my body and bonus points, my role in society is much easier too. What's not to love, is all I'm asking.
kinda wack that they’re doubling down so hard on this. I know of a few streamers getting openly sexually harassed by chat with no consequences outside their mods timing out offending commenters. Like, if they’re targeting bullying shouldn’t the biggest problem be the first on the list?
