If you have a ps4 I would skip the Roku/smart tv bit. You can get a better display for cheaper that way. Stick with brands you know, lg, Sony, Samsung etc and if you want good money to quality ratio vizio is pretty decent.
Get a CRT tv so you can play retro consoles like how they're supposed to be played, I've been looking around for one but they're either too expensive or dirty as fuck
Oh shit I should have specified: The TV will be out in the living room to use as part of a home theater system, the PS4 will be in my room and will use one of my computer monitors. Samsung is always good bro they're like the Hondas of TV
If you want the truth matey, even if you're looking at the best brands, you're not going to get anything real top quality tier for 500.
Well based on what I look at, anything significantly higher is either bigger than what I'm looking for or is coming with useless shit I don't need like 3D or 4K. I chose the original TCL because it was the right size, really good price, some smart options, and has the option of turning off that disgusting Real Motion effect. So I'm looking at more TVs from the brands you guys are giving me. Every review section on Amazon is filled with people bitching about how their TV comes with lines and cracks in the screen, or image fading, I'm struggling to find any that doesn't have their review section filled with bitching because reliability is important. I wont be able to just buy another one after this.
