listened to it on my way to work
overall it was alright. dear world has a nice sound to it, and the overall tone and message reminds me a little of radiohead's "fitter happier" from OK Computer. my favourite track on first listen is burning bright but i reserve the right to change it to idea of you after follow up listens.
it did remind me of early 90s era nin sound but reznor has changed a bit as an artist so his modern experience probably helped distance himself from broken here. which is ultimately a good thing, i think.
i'm going to have the most fun dissecting the meaning of "shes gone away", though. lots of stuff in there.
