it's okay... i had to wake up super early to take a placement test at a college

i'll be going to prom in a few hours tho, pretty exciting

Pretty boring. Honestly just waiting until i can eat and sleep

Finished my thesis.

Not good. Family drama that I have to mediate and the stress is hurting.

i wasted part of my day because I passed out and it really fucked  me up

College is a pain but it is worth it in the long run. It benefits you, but yes it does blow sometimes.

And what you said about your friend being in the shitter too is kind of how everyone is around college. I don't know many people who have things worked out, or a job, that are in college. It's a growing phase. I know plenty of people who tried to be independent and went back to being with their parents. I think the stigma is stupid.

Having a job blows if your working somewhere you don't like, or the money doesn't justify what your doing. That being said the perks of working is making money. If your not making enough money to have disposable income to actually treat yourself then you should try looking for another job while working at your current one. You have work experience and can get a reccomendation.

Always look for ways to improve where your at. If you lose the mentality then you get stuck and you stay unhappy

Driving anxiety is something every driver faces. The more you drive, for example near your house on roads your the most comfortable on, will help. It's all about confidence. You drive to the point where your comfortable. Take your time at turns without a light, I still do, if I see a car 90% of the time I'm not moving. I don't care if people honk at me. No risks. I still drive conservative, I don't drive like an asshole.

I understand the fear of driving, because it's logical to fear doing something that your relying on people to not hit you. But it works both ways. If you drive defensive and safe you can avoid many accidents. The only accidents you'll face is someone hitting you from behind. Which, there's nothing you can do, and often times it not bad.

Driving is more about freedom then it is anything else. It's the freedom to go do what you want on your own time if you feel like it.

And what you said about you thinking there isn't a "right" job for you isn't necessarily fair. It's just what your exposed to or what's around you. If I remember correctly you enjoy writing. i know plenty of people who went and worked for publishers or as writers for small projects. They built a portfolio and relationships with the publishers and eventually used it to publish their own work.

Your first job is always going to suck unless your very fortunate. Because it's your first experience, and there's a lot at play. The actual job, the people you work with or encounter, etc.

The moment you start looking at a job as an avenue to better things is the day you can cope until you find a job that isn't terrible. Shit you might even like it.

But let's say worst case you just hate everything about working and feel it's not for you. You still need an income to support yourself. Your mentality should be if I have to work I better be making money to justify having to sit through the hours. So you progress until you reach a pay grade in which you can cope with work, and enjoy yourself after because you have the money to buy that game you wanted or go out with friends, or go somewhere you've never been.

It's a task everyone faces, and your mentality is what dictates how miserable or happy you are. I know people who worked shit jobs who kept a positive mentality and moved on. Work with what you got, and if you hate it, always keep your ear to the ground to find greener pastures.

Your mentality isn't rare, or something to look down upon. It's just a mentality everyone has at some point or forever. And it's one based in the facts of life. It's all about perspective

Where are you in college right now? Have you moved past the more basic courses to more specialized subjects, or is that you're not quite sure what it is you want to pursue yet? It might just be that you need to take a break for a semester or two, removing the stress of schoolwork could help you sort things out.

I can get why you'd be terrified of driving, have you ever considered practising late at night when there's basically no one on the road? I'm not sure what your specific issue with driving is beyond you finding it terrifying, but it would hopefully be less stressful with needing less motorists you'd need to keep watch for.

i'm in a financial position where i'm only able to take one or two classes per semester, because that's all i can afford

so i'm still taking basic courses, and at this rate, i probably won't even graduate until 2030
