Today I was learned that using the term "hugbox" is a derogatory term against autistic people, even if you use it in a context that has literally nothing to do with autism.

I ran afoul of this a while ago on here when talking to verbatim iirc, kinda blindsided me too and after a brief bit of digging it wasn't a claimed word or something but yup, straight up made to taunt people with autism. Kinda shitty because it's a good word for tumblr but eh, Echo Chamber fills the same void and I swear to god if that's been made up to taunt the deaf I might hit someone <_<
