Thor wields lightning without a hammer in Ragnarok.

After doing a frame by frame of this new trailer, I have determined that Marvel did not just remove his new hammer from the frames to hype the reveal, he is actually wielding lightning without his hammer at all, as his hands do not remain clenched as though he is holding onto something after he stands up.

So, does Thor get his full power back, as it was before Odin put restraints on it?

And yeah, it looks like Thor's pretty much at full power. He'll have to be if they're fighting Sutur. Movie looks pretty dope.

After Odin took his power away, the hammer became a sort of key to unlocking it.

In the comics, he never really gets his full power back, and during the Thor: Unworthy storyline he forges a new hammer to unlock his power again.

Part of the crushing effect losing his hammer must have on him is the partial loss of his power, which is why I'm sure this reveal with him embroiled in lightning is so important, and why Hela destroying it such a pivotal plot moment.

Or that could have been Thor with the Odinforce.

Edit, no that's Ragnarok. The clone of Thor. In the comics he's created by Stark and Richards. Looks like Hela makes him in the movie.
