I'm jealous of the Joy Division album, it would give me the creeps to listen to though, imagining Ian Curtis's last songs.

it's in my top 5 favourite albums of all time. probably the saddest album i've ever listened to. the last 3 songs just...

it came with a free mp3 download if you want. i already own the cd so i have the songs on my computer.

I'll definitely take a look at the album then, sounds like a good band to get into

i'm thinking of picking up revelations next, which is their most popular album before night time. i figure that's a good place to start if i wanna pick up on their antagonism they keep talking about.

We'll I'm not going to lie, I've always been a joy division fan but never found very good punk bands. I think it had a lot to do with my friend who used to listen to Green Day and swear up and down its the epitome of punk rock. My tastes range pretty heavily, but I'm more in the mood to find new music genres, and most of the albums you listed in this thread were foreign to me, so I wanted to poke your brain and see what gems you have hidden away. I'm still trying to figure you're music style out, it seems like a good one

new order - low life (their best album, imo. new order is comprised of old joy division members minus ian.)
pretty hate machine - nine inch nails (the album that got me hooked on nine inch nails)
depeche mode - violator (solid album, good to introduce you to depeche mode)
disintegration - the cure (awesome album)
hatful of hollow - the smiths (another awesome album)

Pretty hate machine is A+, so is Downward Spiral if you haven't heard it, it's an amazing album. But I'm definitely going to check these out

Yes nine inch nails is amazing. I saw a Guns N Roses concert which was opened by Nine Inch Nails and I never thought I'd experience something as great as that in my life.
