No technique mate. That's just a camera flash in a dark hallway with somebody standing on the very far edge of the flash's range and light bouncing off their retinas. Poor quality image because the camera's not meant to take photos in the dark.

I could make my cats look like satan if I photographed them in the dark.

Could also be two reflective surfaces is all. Light plays tricks.

I've been coming back to look at this pic every once in a while and can never find out what it is. Could be some sort of reflection or something.

Yeah man, I don't know what that thing is. Fortunately for us we've never seen anything like that in our driveway/yard since she took this picture.

I'm really into paranormal stuff and I love looking at ghost photos, and one of the things I've picked up is that if you want to see something spooky in a photo, your brain will automatically make you think it is. It could just be a distorted light or something, but since it looks quite spooky we just automatically think GHOST

One trick that I have seen to make this work in photos is holding a cat up to your face pointing in the direction of the camera. It works really well in video at least...
