I don't know what the construction industry is like in Canada, but surely it can't be as bad a job as you're making it out to be. Besides, you'll have co-workers to pass the time with.

I hope things work out for you, I really do.

I'm not too familiar with the canadian system for mental healthcare, but I'm certain that help is out there if your depression does get worse. And for what it's worth, I think that you made the right choice <.<

Sticking with your family in a time like this is probably better than leaving them for what sounds like servitude. Keep looking around for jobs nearby, I'm sure that something will turn up for you.
