Yes. I dropped Madoka six years ago right on the spot when I saw that in the first episode, took me four years to actually watch through the show.

Was watching BRS on Crunchyroll when it was airing, got all the way to episode 4, she runs to school with toast in her mouth and I just exited out of the window right then and there, still haven't finished it.

It didn't bother me in Madoka because I went in knowing it's a deconstruction of the Magical Girl genre, so of course everything is going to be tropey and typical otaku moeshit at first.
