I've been finding my self looking at houses lately.

Smaller places outside of California. Sub 250,000 dollar homes. I am a little torn though, Should I get a larger house, like 1500 square feet and have a mortgage? Or Should I live on a very tight budget for a few years saving my money so I can buy a small maybe modular home or cabin outright to fix up and sell for profit down the road?

One builds credit, the other builds assets.

Of course, it won't be for a while now. Need to get the ability to move first.

Oh another note, anyone down for being roomies? That'd be pretty fly.

Just buy an RV and live out of that

Also a good idea. I'd still like to have my own land though. An investment is an investment. With upgrades I can only make profit on my purchase price for empty land.

Sure brah, there's a great builder putting up homes just under 200k, spacious 3bdrm with 0 down if you qualify.

Where were you thinking of moving?

Depends on where I can find a GIS job. Ideally I want to stay out west. Utah, Arizona, Idaho, maybe Nevada.
