Remember that unfinished StarWars animation that some guy made that everyone was creaming themselves over a few years back? Well the guy finally finished it and here's the thing in its entirety.

While the animation is pretty good for a solo work the music blows and it feels like something someone would put into an MLG QuIcKsCoPe montage instead of something that fits the tone of StarWars.

It sure would be great to have a series about the Empire where they are actually competent like in this. But as we all know that can't happen because Star Wars is this black and white thing that circle jerks the "good guys". God forbid we see the other sides point of few.

It's been a good while since Legend of the Galactic Heroes and Banner of the Stars that I've got to see such exciting dogfighting, especially in a more Americanized animation style and the Star Wars context. This thing blows! I had a nerdgasm when all the mechanical sci-fi details started rolling in.

This is kind of old news. I really like the animation and the music. I don't think there's enough dubs and wubs in the music for a quickscope montage. I thought it was pretty fitting.

Why didn't the Rebel capital ships have any shields? A TIE flew right up to the bridge of one and blew it up with a couple shots.

Presumably their shields were depleted by the turbolaser barrage.

It could also be trying to be realistic where not every rebel ship has shields. Like at the American Civil War. The Union had uniforms but for the South not everybody got issued one.
