Well, if we're sharing tricks to fight off shiver fits, I have one. It doesn't exactly help the shivering part. But it will make you feel warm.

Take a shower. Turn up the heat to as far as you can stand it. End shower, dry yourself real quick, and jump under the covers of your bed. Prefferably heavy blankets, sleeping bags, insulating type stuff.

It likely won't stop the shivering but you will indeed be very warm. This method is also handy for helping to get rid of shitty flu's and colds as well.

and yes, i was also going to suggest showering, but it might be too late at night for her

And I'm going off advice given to me by my doc on how to help chemo shivers and shitty cold/flu's fuck off. I'm not saying that drinking water certainly doesn't help.

I'm just helping to provide the option of choice.
