The Last of Us is really good

Watched the first couple of episodes and I really like it. It has Bella Ramsey, who plays Hilda, so that's an instant plus. And I finally get to see Pedro Pascal, this new amazing actor, in the flesh. Have heard a LOT about him but haven't seen him in anything because I don't watch Star Wars or Lame of Thrones

But yeah - this feels new. It feels great, just watching the show. Might do a more in-depth review later but rn I'm about to watch episode 3!

And oh - I have never played TLOU video game. So this is all coming to me with fresh eyes.

Never played the game but I've heard the show is surprisingly good. I guess they're sticking pretty well to the source material and its lore since the first game was so beloved.

It's a shame they didn't do the same with the Halo show. Instead we got Master Cheeks in a sex scene.

Halo's cutscenes are already put together and edited like a movie. All they need to do is add dialogue in between combat and they're fine.

They've done an alright Halo show already in Forawrd unto Dawn. Hell, Nightfall, snore that it was, looks like the fucking Godfather compared to the Master Chief x Reader NTR smut fanfiction Paramount decided to adapt.

Them having McKay with her ODSTs would be cool to see. I'm sure there would be a lot of people that would appreciate having a side story following a squad of ODSTs. I wanna see the struggle they go through with The Flood on the Truth and Reconciliation. Make it like action-packed like Aliens. It would be way better than the side crap they gave us with this Halo show.

just caught up on it

- no one who played the game should be all that surprised that the show is pretty good so far. it's a good character-driven story that may as well have been written as a TV show in the first place, so like, no shit it's good
- i appreciate how they've been using the new medium to flesh out characters (like Bill) who got next to no development in the source material
- all the gay shit makes conservatives seethe which makes me very happy
- in general, it's cool to me how non-gamers will get to experience this story without having to play a mid-ass video game
- gamerbros are gonna shit their pants when they adapt part 2 and it gets even better reception than part 1

i thought the game was pretty mid but it seems like this fleshes things out and adds some original stuff so i may check it out at some point
