I've wondered this before. I feel like I would have a very similar reaction to the one Mr. Picard had. Living an entire life that turns out to be a dream would be devastating.

He pretty much lived two separate lives.I don't know how I would feel...on one hand, I'd be happy to get another "go" at life, but I'd also feel really cheated. It does make you wonder what kind of life you'd wake up to if this happened.
Be somewhat confused and move on.

Still... what then?"You had an alternate life as a shaman.""Oh cool."Actually, people might envy you for your double lifetime, which could be bad. People could be somewhat impressed and intrigued as well. I suppose the immediate consequences appear to be purely social.

This happened in Rick and Morty as well. There is a video game cabinet at Blitz N Chitz on the temporal asteroid where you control a man named Roy and live out his whole life with the accompanying memories when you beat it.
