The worst time of this was $0.50 pitchers at my local club. I don't have a clue how many I drank. One moment I am in the club, the next I am at parade rest being screamed at that I smelled like a fucking brewery.

I guess I missed first formation. Oops. Then I was on the bus to the range. No transition, just snapped in and out. By then I had sobered up enough to stay there in the moment. Still drunk AF, but aware the whole time.

I never shot so well in my life.

As punishment the company commander put me and a few others on brass detail. We got it done and a range cadre asked if we could do a special detail for him. The platoon leader said ok, thinking it would further our suffering.

Nope.

They had 25 AT4's that they had to fire for "budget reasons." In the government budget is use it or lose it. Inventory was the next day, and the range had to show these as fired or they couldn't order as many next fiscal year.

So I don't know what the lesson was that day
