It could be possible that it is him, the description of what he looked like in his own novel matched snoke very well.

There was a scene for about 5 seconds that was a POV view of an X-Wing flying and shooting down a TIE Fighter

That shit was so epic

What I loved was the lighting during the scene when Han confronts and is killed by Ren.
The metaphor of the Dying sun and light were pretty obvious bit I still love it nonetheless.

not because I dislike the character, but the way it was handled and done was spot on
