Why Disney doesn't give us the unaltered, superior versions is beyond me.

Superior is the matter of opinion. However, current canon is based off of the altered versions of the films. If they released the unaltered versions, it could create confusion with the uneducated on which are canon. Plus, apparently at least, the original  films are in such poor condition, you would be better off just watching the VHS versions. At least, that's what Lucasfilm says.

Only 5 more months to go until Episode 7!

I've been listening to the Episode 3 soundtrack. I think it's my favorite in the series.
