It's hard to defend anything in 1 minus the pod racing and duel at the end. The pacing of that movie was god awful.

the podracing was actually the only thing i didn't like

it was a fun scene, but it went on for way too long

other than that, the pacing was fine

I don't mind the Ewoks or the fact that Han Solo lives in 6, but I mind why those decisions were made. That's my problem with Ep. 6. As someone who values creative integrity as much as I do, I'd think you'd appreciate that sentiment as well. Lucas sold out with 6 -- and that's a problem.

It does, though. His original plan was for Jar-Jar to be the Sith equivalent of Yoda, which completely negates any shit he gets in TPM.

Qui-Gon is objectively the best Jedi, Maul is objectively the coolest Sith in any of the movies.

I actually don't mind young Anakin either. People say he's a terrible actor, but being around kids his age, some of the more mature ones do talk like that.

It's still an atrocious film by any cinematic standards but every Star Wars film walks that fine-line.

Jedi is generally regarded as a good film, too.

I'm just saying -- my problem is that Lucas sold out and compromised his original artistic vision for it. Remember that it's my second favourite Star Wars film.
