You have been warned

I thoroughly enjoyed the film. Alot of funny references and 1 liners. The cast did a excellent job. I did cry a little seen the Enterprise get torn to pieces.

The actress who played this character did a dam fine job. Kuddos to her.

Lastly I was very impressed with the costume design in this film. That white skin with the white hair and those trial maker look fucking sick. That would make a neat tattoo.

so yeah aside from the *ahem* artistic interpretation of space that Star Trek is known for, I enjoyed it. I didn't care for the antagonist until his origin was revealed which was a nice twist.

There's like one shot of him with his partner and then the film just moves on, it doesn't dwell on it at all.

I knew there was more to him then a Alien baddy. He had a grudge against Star Fleet.

I just got back from it, great movie

one thing I don't get is why Idris Elba turned into an alien and then turned part way back into a dude near the end

Simple, noticed how he said he draws energy from lifeforms. He took the energy out of the 2 Enterprise cremates. I think depending on the lifeform his appearance changes.

I get that they basically had to give the crew superpowers to quickly establish their traits, but come on.
