At my sister's old apartment, there was a huge Black Widow that was living near her front door for a few weeks. My sister is terrified of any bug so she avoided the black widow at all costs.

I went to her apartment and stepped on the black widow and it left a huge splat on the ground.

I honestly don't see why people flip their shit over spiders, yet I get made fun of sometimes for being scared of bees/wasps
