The twitter tags are as tedious to trawl through as I'd expected but yeah. I know a few people on here have been following it closely, so anything happen in the last two weeks? Or did it just peter out?

I'm still wondering why I should give a flying fuck about it. So, she fucked a gaming reviewer to get her free game a meh review. Her boyfriend found out, and turned 4chan's gamer board loose on her. She cried foul, and they turned the heat up. Now every "gamer" has started talking about corruption in gaming reviews.

OK, so games cost what? $50? $60? I guess upwards of $200 if you buy the super-duper ultra elite numbered rare editions. But if you are so stupid as to buy those... well you deserve it. Her game was free, if memory serves... If it can be called a game, as I remember it being a choose your own adventure type of thing.

But anyways... I thought no one trusted IGN and Kokatu anyways. I remember that when CoD was out performing Battlefield, the "Gamers" were busy saying that you can't spell ignorant without IGN.

So, when did they change from companies to be ignored, to companies that are supposed to be virtuous? Did I miss something?

Well that's sort of the point, it would be nice if it wasn't utterly corrupt shite. Take Empire magazine for example, it's a Film industry related one and it's pretty respectable as far as I know, if you are a film buff then that's probably something you would enjoy reading. (Or something similar)

And yet, for Video Games, the only semi-reliable source of information is either direct/first hand (Which costs you money) or Forums which are mostly an opinion shitfest rather than any actual journalism.

Instead of proper reviews, we get 10/10 Dew n Doritos scores from eejits like IGN and instead of news we get retards like Sharquiesian (Sarkeesian) ranting on and trying to drag SJW/Neo-Feminism into shit like Mario and Castlevania.

Forgive me for wanting to be able to find out about games on a gaming news site.

That's aside from the corruption evident by the whole 'gamers are dead' news spam that all went out on the 28th of august pretty much simultaneously for all the sites under the sun. Or people destroying other indie companies out of spite to boost their own scores/sales.

It's rotten to the core and needs to be fixed before this shit starts spreading into the games themselves (Even further).
