That being, what kind of superheroes are Big Hero 6? Are they the kind of heroes that just rescue cats from trees and help the elderly across the street or are they a crime fighting vigilantes? The only criminal they stopped in the movie was the main villain and there is no indication of what kind of heroics they planned on doing afterwords. After the credits it shows post-movie stills of them saving people from a runaway tram. This leads me to believe that they are helpers rather than crime-fighters. On the off chance they do fight crime, if the world San Fransokyo exists in is anything like the present United States, those dumbasses are likely to get themselves shot. Polymer and carbon fiber aren't bulletproof. I can just imagine them busting in on an organized crime operations and getting riddled with bullet holes and several of them dying violently and tragically. If any of them survived, I imagine that would look back remorsefully at how foolish and irresponsible their little endeavor was and how if they had used common sense, their friends would be still alive. Also, fuck Wasabi. I don't like that guy.

They're based on a very much darker Marvel comic. The Disney flick they basically go on to be an all human paw patrol

japan marketed it as a cuddly story about a boy who has a robot to get over his dead brother

and then were surprised when it's actually a superhero story about a boy who has a robot to avenge his dead brother
