Not that I don't like cutsey stuff.

But for some reason it just makes me feel like shit. Probably because cute stuff is innocent and we live in a world that's far from it.

I just don't like a lot of romantic cutesy stuff. I've resented it from a young age and I have no idea where it originates. 

Interacting with children makes me feel like shit because I empathize with them.

Which again could be the same thing I mentioned. There's something about cutsey things or innocent things that make me deeply sad. Like you said, kids are another.

For me it's the fact that I know it's not going to last for them. That particular happiness to see everything new, experiencing everything for the first time, and that little bubble they exist in, the world is going to crush it. People are going to step on them eventually and destroy that little world and those feelings. And no matter how hard you try as a guardian to protect them, you can't shield them from it forever.

Of course, the thing posted up above just gets me down because I don't have anybody to give my care to like that.
