So if you live in Australia. You probably know that Australian Television, is fucking garbage. Yes there are the exception where we sometimes get good shows but a majority of the shows that us Australians make are crime dramas either made up or based on true stories. I swear to Christ that %89 of Australian TV is just crime drama.

Then you have Foxtel, Which is pretty much the reason why everyone pirates shit. 'Oh what should we do with all this other GOOD shows from overseas?' 'LET'S PUT IT ON A SERVICE THAT COSTS $120!!'

So for the last few months I've been using a proxy to use American Netflix. Which is actually pretty great. So hearing about Netflix coming to Australia sounded fantastic. The thing is though I always had the suspicion that it was probably going to have less stuff. AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW? I WAS RIGHT!

What fucking gives? Yes sure, It does still have tons of great shows and movies to watch (It's Such A Beautiful Day is probably my favourite movie of all time now FUCKING WATCH IT) But it lacks the main popular tv shows that you'd expect, eg. Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead & Supernatural among many MANY others. Netflix does thankfully make up for this with some nice Australian TV shows & Movies but still.

If you want piracy in this country to stop, Then shit like this has to stop. You're making a already creatively deprived country even worse.

Does Australia have absurd licensing laws like the UK? Apparently that's a big reason as to why the UK netflix is so limited.

We seem to make up with not having any good original shows by having really good news satire. I honestly feel like we do this better then any other country.

Naa, there are some great British satire shows too.
