Okay, so I'm redesigning a nerf gun to look like a 50cal, for cosplay reasons. What I need to know is, the gun shown below, what is the (laymans terms) block at the end of the barrel (right side), what is it called?



I need to find, somewhat adequate dimensions on making one, and if you lads are savy in this way, what would be the best way to make one? Plaster mould, wood?  Anywho, if you guys have any ideas that would help it'd be appreciated.

Also, that specific rifle is based off of a french Anti-Materiel Rifle.

Pretty odd finding such a weapon in Nevada.

Yeah, since ya know....a Fallout happened, but if they somehow got a hold of schematics, it could be possible realistically.

I automatically assume all serviceable weapons found in Fallout are relic assets looted from prewar armories and such.

Obviously, such high tier weapons are manufactured locally. How odd that Gun Runners would select a foreign design over american weapon systems.

Plater or foam would be a good idea for a muzzle break of that size. Consider the weight of your creation.
