I remember seeing a promo for it on Toonami, but I never caught the name of the show or watched it.
Well I just watched several episodes yesterday, and this is a pretty great show!

They just started airing SAO II on Toonami as well. Is it better?
And isn't there a big change in the story half-way through Season 1 or something?

It is an anime, but it's not the "Dragonball Z: 20 hours of dialogue" sort of anime.

Meh. The only real "Anime" I've watched is Pokemon. The show and most of the movies were sooooooo good.

mc is a static edgelord
the supporting cast is comprised entirely of idiots. Usually I can tolerate this, but you'd think the people trapped in the game would be at least a tad bit genre savvy...
As per the second season, Asuna basically stops being a character and instead becomes a plot device. No, that doesn't mean she's dead.
No character development

From what I get of it, It falls because the main lead, that one kid... who looks like a faggot.

He becomes extremely over powered in the 'game' very easily, so many characters get shown and have small parts and then disappear. It's just him being better than all his friends.

The 'support characters' are complete numskulls that just seem so irrelevant to him, because he's so bloody powerful, he doesn't need any help. A girl, called Asuna, becomes less of a character every episode she's in. The idea still is great but the characters in it go and it juts falls apart.

I think that's what made me hate him.
