Why is Bethesda.net so dead?

For real, they're a thriving company managing two huge franchises. And Sep7 is more active right now then they are. I expected that place to have near Bnet levels of activity.

Seems like people don't like forums anymore :(

They like places like Reddit to discuss. I dont know why company forums are generally so dead these days. Quite sad

I hate Reddit tbh

There's no personalities. There's no people, just comments.

I guess thats what they like, the discussion, or content more like, with the way the net is these days, it's all about making a popular imgur post, or showing your cool gif off. Not that much in making a name for yourself these days on a forum.

Yeah, exactly. People are obsessed with their internet points these days, I don't understand it.

Fallout and Elder Scrolls have their own forums
There's Bethsoft, which is the old site. Everything not Fallout or DOOM related is currently still there. However, they're in the process of moving everything to Bethesda.net, with Fallout and DOOM already there.

Fallout fans either use NMA or the subreddits. The official bethesda forums are fairly waypoint-ey in regards to rules (Though the mods don't ban for slightest things, just fairly strict rules), the subreddits are more open. Plus, it's easier to jump in because there isn't a community that has been there for 10+ years.

I use the falloutlore sub for discussion on Fallout. It's nice to be able to discuss the lore without people starting the bethesda a shit arguments.

Well there are, there are a couple well-known names around some of the subreddits I've been on, and I don't think it's too bad since most of the good and important news about games are near the top, but the communities themselves are pretty caustic towards anyone new to the sub and saying anything bad about their favourite games gets a whole heap of zealots sperging on you

it's still pretty good for game news though, ive had some good interesting discussions before

I think they still have their old forums up, so there isn't really any incentives to use it. Once Fallout 4 modding gets routed through there, for consoles and their decision not to use steam workshop, and the Doom snap map release it should see some more activity.

Long live NoNolesNeckin.

Ya fuckin' ganderneck.
Forums are dying. B.net didn't because they turned their site into a social networking platform instead of a forum.
