Political correctness isn't a bad thing. People don't understand this. There's absolutely nothing wrong with referring to specific ethnic groups by the word they want to be known as. It's not until it becomes a hindrance to rational thought and reason that it becomes an issue; i.e. people going overboard with it.

Saying "black person" or "african american" instead of nigger is far from an inconvenience, let alone a hindrance.

Political correctness isn't a bad thing

You mean like when that one guy saw half a dozen suspicious Muslims in San Bernardino prior to the shooting but didn't say anything because he didn't want to be racially insensitive

If someone called the police every time they saw a group of Middle Eastern looking people, do you think that would be a net gain for society?

Hindsight is 20/20. For every terrorist attack you stop using this method, you would have wrongfully jailed hundreds of thousands more and wasted countless hours of police time.

Did you think I meant that we should call the police whenever we see Iraqis walking down the street or something?
Key word here is suspicious
And we would jail hundreds of thousands of innocent people?
You do realize the police don't automatically lock up people who are reported suspicious right?

The point is that the man chose to withhold information because he didn't want people thinking that he was a bad person

People are literally turning a blind eye to rational thinking solely because of race
You don't think that's a problem?

"Suspicious" literally means their ethnicity here. He should have done exactly what he did, because at the time, all he saw was a group of foreigners. It's far from "rational thinking" to call the cops because a group of sketchy Muslims is walking down the street. If he saw a group of people holding a bomb, then he should of course call the police regardless of their race.

Seeing a group of Muslims casing a place over a period of several weeks is reason enough

And yes
Ethnicity is reason for suspicion

But let's just pretend Islam presents no risk to the west because we're good and fair minded people right
In fact if someone is a Muslim, we should go out of our way to not imply them in anything or god forbid people might think we're racially profiling

No, seeing a group of people casing a joint over a period of several weeks is reason enough.

They're casing a joint. That's suspicious regardless of your fucking religion or ethnicity.

I see where you're coming from when you make this argument, but it's still wrong.

I love how you make up fake viewpoints that no one believes in to look smart.

How about don't treat Arabic people any differently from Caucasian people? Is that such a ridiculous opinion?

Sure
But the point is that the man in this case chose not to report it specially because they were Muslims

What fake viewpoint am I making up?
That people tend to look the other way specially because of race?
Because I assure you that people do

Of course I'm for fair treatment of all
I'm not racist
But ignoring clear facts and circumstances in the name of equality is stupid

For every college liberal who thinks that Muslims can do no wrong, there are three old ladies who are calling the cops because a Muslim teenager is walking along the sidewalk. Both are issues, but the second is far more prevalent and important.

You wanna give me some statistics on that?
Because I have some that are in direct opposition of that
Especially for when the person is black

Statistics on what, racism? I can assure you that once you leave the PC bubble in big cities, college campuses, and the Internet, people are just as concerned about race, but in the opposite direction.

For how terribly oppressed American Muslims are
How they're just being picked up day and night just for being Muslim

And I'm pretty sure you can't

How do you quantify a held mindset? You can't take an "are you racist" poll honestly.

You're the one who's making the positive assertion that there's more anti-racism against Muslims than racism. Where are your "statistics" to back that up?

You're the one who's making the positive assertion that there's more anti-racism against Muslims than racism. Where are your "statistics" to back that up?

I'm talking about police reports/shootings/arrests ect
Actual physical measures taken against people of different races

Muslims are perceived as favorably as atheists in America
As well as 61% of Americans saying Muslims should not be put under extra scrutiny for their beliefs
Both of these facts come from PEW Research by the way

But the point isn't even about how they are treated
It's how they should be treated
Political correctness pretends that a large portion of Muslims are not radicalized and that we should ignore a clear and present danger for the sake of appearing fair

I'm not saying this because I'm racist
I'm saying this because the facts are there
