I think I would rate it at a B-. It was a very good film, to be sure; it didn't take itself too seriously and there were definitely some memorable, very quotable moments.

It's lacking on the bad guy character development. Lee Pace's character was more of an evil obstacle than anything, and the whole blue-chick-who's-name-I-can't-remember's and Gamora's rivalry seems pretty shallow.

And yeah, you will probably feel better about yourself if you just skip the after credit scene. I say that as a Marvel fan who stays through every Marvel movie's credits.
