You're right, there really doesn't seem to be a whole lot of options anymore.
Quote from: Onion on August 15, 2016, 02:34:02 PMredundant.how exactly is it redundant?i buy cassette tapes for a dollar a piece. a single cd can go as his as 25 bucks. i can buy 25 albums on cassette for the price of a single cd. i'd be making my money back pretty quickly. but yeah you're right about the financial stability bit
FYI these are all Google certified storeshttps://www.google.com/search?q=portable+cassette+player&biw=1920&bih=979&tbm=shop&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjGhef2lsTOAhWF5SYKHYnSDxMQ_AUICCgB&dpr=1
I only buy CDs and Vinyl.I don't like tapes because the quality is poor, and I will never pay to download a song, if I'm gonna download it its gonna be free.
Vinyl is a personal favorite because it has superb depth and clarity, plus the vacuum tube amp I use provides a sound that is both vibrant, and authentic.I own over 800lbs of vinyl, so if you wanna go crazy with the tapes, you do you.
I had no idea some of these were so valuable
Casettes have compatability issues, poor quality and it's difficult to find any modern music that's published on tapes.
The player itself doesn't have the portability, capacity or convenience of a digital player. It makes for a nice vintage collectors item but not something you could actively use without looking like an arse.

Cassette tapes are redundant who publishes new music on tapes? Oh wait you're probably one of those people that doesn't like new music and prefers "le good ol' music"
