So I'm watching Sword art online

EASILY the shittiest show I've ever seen in my entire life

They skip the fight scenes, introduce characters and immediately kill them then have long monologues about them expecting us to care. They also skip months or years between episodes.

And it's inconsistent AS FUCK. In the first episode the main character says he lives with his mother and sister. Later he says he lives with his grandfather and cousin. In another instance there's an entire scene revolving around how you can't feel pain in the game. Then in subsequent episodes people say ow or scream in pain when they get hurt

Then there's the weird ass relationship that's blatantly sexualized (or has a lot of sexual tension) but the characters say they're like brother and sister

SAO suffers from edgy OP protag who can always overpower things simply for the sake of overpowering.

And then Asuna, the character that could have had some interesting things going for her since she had SOME depth, was mostly reduced to just a princess peach/zelda tier girl who got raped on more than one occasion.

She was fine until she romanced with Kirito, thus proving once more, that anime is SHIT.
