So I'm making my own little comic for my art class project

Just thought I'd share my start and any ideas and suggestions welcome.

The story follows Captain Coolguy(?) and his spaceship crew as they travel the galaxy to have fun and take down wanted criminals.

Captain Coolguy was a member of the Space Patrol who failed every exam and was kicked out, but he decided that he didn't want to be a lame ass space cop anyway so he sets off, stealing a uniform and modifying it and blasting off in a space taxi. When he crash lands on a desert planet, people are sent to check the wreckage and search for survivors. Not wanting to give his real name, he quickly makes up a new name made from some letters on various bits of wreckage around him, coming up with COOLGUY. The rest hasn't come to me yet but I only started drawing doodles for it.

He doesn't kill the criminals he catches, instead he sends them to retirement home where at the end of every story they will sign in and mull around for a bit in the waiting room. I liked the idea.

It's still up for change, but this is all I have so far. Still in the planning stages.

Yeah I had that in mind, I actually know a few people who look similar to that so I just went with it.
