The fight scenes were kinda neat and it had some funny moments

I liked it. Some of the references to the mess that is the X-Men continuity and his previous 'appearance' in Wolverine were pretty funny.

I didn't realise the woman was also in Firefly until my friend pointed it out after the film. I thought I'd recognised her, but I couldn't put my finger on it.

the movie wasn't even a good representation of what made deadpool fun in the first place. it wasn't deadpool's kind of humour -- it was a parody of deadpool's humour, and people just eat that shit up because, surprise surprise, they aren't familiar with the character.

even humour aside, the only thing that wasn't sub-par was the choreography of the fight scenes. that's it. it's not just that the movie was stupid -- it was also poorly made.

I wish they had exercised some restraint in regards to random pop culture references, and instead focused on references to other characters and phenomena in the Marvel universe. The Stewart vs. Young Prof. X thing was funny, Spice Girls references aren't.

Breaking the fourth wall, rambling, pessimism about his condition. All pretty spot on.

Deadpool is capable of smart humour. Not this gradeschool bullshit. That's why I said it was a parody of Deadpool.

The best Deadpool moments lack sexuality/swearing/gore etc.

Also the movie lacked his schizophrenia. Which is a shame because that actually results in some clever moments everywhere else.

I've seen at least five people make the argument on this website.

There were two or three good jokes, and I chuckled once--at the "I would go with you, but I don't wanna" line.

The other good line was the "Is it sexist if I hit you? Is it more sexist if I don't hit you?" bit.

The rest of the movie was boring, boring, pandering bullshit. It expects you to like this character automatically, just because he's jokey and swears a lot and makes dick and fart jokes. Oh, and he talks to the audience. So that means we're supposed to like him. Because he talks to the audience, and makes pop culture references. Sorry--I'm pretty much beyond that.

A lot of people have been praising the action sequences--I thought they were all boring. I was falling asleep.

Absolute chore to watch. 2/10.
