First off listen to the "Snoke" Theme

Notice and listen closely because its identical to the theme on ROTS (You know, when Palpatine talks about Darth "Plagueis" with Anakin)

Also if you remember the scene with Kylo Ren and Snoke. Ren said the Supreme Chancellor is "Wise" (looking at you Plagueis)

Also notice his face, it looks so similar to Darth Plagueis.

This couldn't be all just a conquincidence, could it?

We recently had a thread titled "TFA Spoilers" that didn't have any spoilers in in whatsoever, so that may have set a precedent for some people to think, "Well, it doesn't have a Spoiler tag, so it's probably safe."

As dumb as people are, I'm just trying to allow everyone the chance to experience the movie with a blank slate.

OT: I do think that Snoke is Plagueis. It would make a whole lot of sense and would actually be relevant.

Anyways, on topic. I think it's a definite possibility, though I think they're going to make as little references to the prequels as possible.

Considering that the prequels are not great, it wouldn't surprise me that they made little references to the prequels.

I don't really have a good reason to believe Snoke =/= Plagueis. I can't even express my opinions on what I'd think if it was true. It would depend on how it's handled.

Wasn't Hayden supposed to make an appearance in TFA? Could he be in Ep. 8 instead as a ghost to give some backstory on what he knows of Plagueis?

As much as I hate the ghost change in Episode 6 this would finally give a half decent reason for doing so and Ghosty Anakin is a scene that would be cool to see.
Regular old mortality took Sebastian Shaw away from us.

Hayden being in TFA was just a rumor, now we know that he's not in it, but it is possible that he could make an appearance in Ep. 8

It sounds terribly silly to recycle Plagueis' character to come back, and would require far more questions to be answered than they could feasibly sift through in following films. It would probably be best to create a new character than continue using the old ones as a crutch.
