What is your signature and why?

Mine is taken from the title of a book that I like and refers to bleak situational extremes. I've also just updated it to add an extra little nuance, which I think you'll find brutal (I know I just rick rolled someone, but it's not a rick roll, really- I wouldn't cheapen my personal 'forum body' like that).
