Everyone that participates in an online forum is seeking attention in one form or another.
To each his own. Getting butthurt over it is just as pitiful and annoying.
Oh yes because Honest Opinion threads are so goddamn detrimental. Please.I could think of way worse things to clog up the forum.Would you like Porch parodies?Would you like some good ol' Comm's swag meme threads?
You're asking me to ban people for jumping on a bandwagon.
Would Recon or Duardo have banned people for this on B.net?
You're asking me to ban people for jumping on a bandwagon.Think about that for a second.I'd have to ban almost every member. Everyone jumps on some sort of bandwagon at some point.
This reasoning doesn't make any sense. You can't ban someone for the simple reason of "jumping on a bandwagon". But you also can't deliberately NOT ban people for jumping on a bandwagon. What if people started posting meatspin threads for a few days? "Well, it's only a bandwagon", right?I'm not calling for the ban of these people, but I agree with the OP that these threads are getting tiresome.
Attention whore threads =/= meatspin. your logic is flawed. These threads aren't breaking any of the rules, meatspin would be.
Porch day and the likes were used as trolling. I should know, I participated in them. There is a difference between making parody threads and making bandwagon threads. One is used for trolling and the other is not.
It is true that they were made with different intentions in mind, but they achieve the same result of clogging up the forum. While they do not break the rules they undeniably take up space on the front page pushing original threads to the back or killing them outright. Believe it or not, the Flood runs on these original threads...
