So I kind of want to, but I'm scared it will look so stupid and retarded...
Therefore I am here, because I know you guys can be brutally honest and that's what I want.

Not solid black. Do something like dark brown or put highlights in it.

I'm trying to find the picture of me with black hair... but I used manic panic hair dye and it was more of a blue black and the dye I have now is more of a natural black.

I wouldn't use a permanent dye as I would imagine it would be hard to reverse and you obviously don't seem like the type to want to stick to a single hair color forever. Also, make sure it wouldn't contrast with your complexion too much, unless you're into the whole goth-vampire look.
