I know they were designed to make stabbing easier but to me I see no difference. I have a short K-Bar USMC that's tanto designed and I compared it to my USMC and my Becker BK7. When I hold the knives at the same angle and I push on my palm with them they feel the same. Tanto or not they both feel like they're going to go in as easily. I did the same thing with my chest which produced the same results. So is there some short of advantaged that they have over normal knife points?

This is not the greatest sig in the world, no. This is just a tribute.
I think with the top being flat and straight it's supposed to take less effort to make a deep stab.
I could be entirely wrong though.

tanto blades are thicker at the tip compared to other blade styles, it's not necessarily "better" at stabbing but because of it's extended spine many often find it easier to stab with it. A good tanto can be used as a chisel and prying device without fear of breaking.
in short the tip is thicker than most knives and this thickness aids in making actions such as stabbing seem easier

. But I don't know, modern design knives may be just as useful.
That could be as well. Look at the bottom knife. The BK7 has the point lower than other knives of that blade design.
