-Jack pleading for Ashi to fight it
-cameos from people Jack saved coming to fight Aku
-Don't get to see most of it tho, just Jack dodging Ashiku
-Jack saying "I love you" changes her back
-She gets Aku powers and takes them to the past
-Jack kills Aku
-everything's good now, jumps to Jack and Ashi's marriage ceremony
-Ashi dies a minute later because she was never born

I thought 1-4 were alright, but I was waiting for a good conclusion to elevate the show. I couldn't even get through all of it. That just kind of reflects on the entire show as mediocre at its best, and overall pretty bad in my eyes.
Cartoon Network now has a reputation for 'reanimating' dead shows, with pretty "limited" success. Is it really unwarranted that some people think CN should just stop doing it?

I would have preferred this. It may be corny, but at least it would make the Aku-less future seem bright and happy, where the characters we love live happier lives. The current finale gives the impression that they just didn't exist. Jack didn't even get to say goodbye.

I did get emotional at the end, but not because I cared about Ashi at all. I became emotional because of the mood and overall presentation of that final scene (especially the last shot), and because I realized it was over. We'll never see any more of Jack's adventures. We'll never even see Aku again.

This may just be me, but I kind of wished he had stayed in the future. Maybe his ancestors could talk to him, and tell him that instead of living for long dead ghosts, he should live for the present, all of the friends he has made there, and endeavor to make the present world a better place to live in. Jack lives on, serving as a protector of peace and justice in the world.

I was more so commenting on the quality of season 5, not the phenomenon of reviving dead shows. I don't think it would have been better not to bring it back at all. Regardless of my feelings on the finale, this final season hasn't just provided me was some great episodes (1-4) to enjoy, it has given me great experiences.

This is the first time I have felt truly invested in a show, and I have had a wonderful time talking about it with others and so forth. I wouldn't give that up just because some episodes were of a lesser quality than others.
